THE STANDARD

A common language for vessel assurance.

eCMID is a standardised inspection system for reviewing safety management on marine vessels.

Documentation reviews and onboard observations examine procedures, equipment and operations. The report supports owners, operators and clients in reviewing vessel information and discussing improvements.

A review of vessel and records

Within the agreed scope, we review vessel particulars, certificates and operational records, then check relevant safety, machinery, navigation, lifesaving, firefighting and operational arrangements onboard.

Scope note — An eCMID inspection does not replace class or statutory surveys and does not determine a vessel’s suitability for a particular task or contract. Scope and deliverables are agreed for each engagement. IIMS eCMID information ↗
